  • Where will my DNA test take place?
    After you book your DNA test online, you will receive an email confirming your appointment time and location. Angel's Touch Wellness is a mobile lab service, we will come to you for your convenience. Please state where you would like testing to take place when booking online. Location needs to be confirmed prior to the actual day of testing for scheduling purposes. Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding your testing location.
  • What is involved in the DNA testing process?
    Once your testing appointment has been made and confirmed, Angel's Touch will email you any forms that need to be signed. Anyone that is going to be tested (over the age of 18) will need to show a valid government issued photo ID. Please have your ID ready for our collector to verify at the time of testing. Everyone involved in the DNA test will need to have their cheek swabbed (ex. alleged father, child, mother etc.). Swabbing of the cheek is quick. The specimen bag is sealed and placed in an envelope, along with the required paperwork for the lab. A picture will be taken of each person tested and sent with DNA specimen to the lab.
  • How long does it take to get my DNA test results?
    Results typically come back within 2 business days
  • How will I receive the results from my DNA test?
    The test results will be sent to the email address provided at the time of your booking. Due to HIPPA and and respect of client's confidentiality, test results will not be able to be given out over the phone.
  • What if the alleged father is a minor?
    If the alleged father is a minor, consent from a legal guardian is required. This means that the legal guardian will need to be at the appointment in order to give consent that the minor can be tested.
  • Will my privacy be protected?
    Yes! We take our client's privacy very seriously. We will not release any information about your case without your prior authorization. We will follow any special instructions that you give us for communicating with you and the parties involved in your DNA test.
  • Reschedule/Refund Policy
    If you need to reschedule your appointment, you must do so within 24 hours of your appointment time by calling 504-294-8558 or by emailing info@angelstouchwellness.org There are NO REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
  • A few more things....
    ****If an infant is being swabbed for DNA, it is suggested that he/she should not be breastfed within 30 minutes of testing. There is evidence based research that suggests breast milk can interfere with results, possibly leading to an inconclusive test result. ****If you have any pets, please put them in a different area while testing is taking place. Thank you for your cooperation.
